Photography is more than just an art form, it is an authentic means of storytelling. In an age dominated by heavy digital manipulation, I find profound beauty in the purity of untouched, black and white imagery. Over the last twenty years, my camera has taken me through the fast paced worlds of fashion, editorial, and runway, as well as the intimate spaces of beauty, creative portraiture, and weddings.
Today, I bring that expansive background into a singular, refined focus: producing strictly black and white documentary, wedding, and portrait photography. Grounded by a Level 7 New Zealand Diploma in Art & Creativity (Advanced) achieved in May 2025, my goal remains unchanged, whether capturing the quiet intimacy of a wedding day, the unposed character of a portrait, or the spontaneous rhythm of the streets, I strive to preserve fleeting, genuine realities for generations to come.

My love for black and white photography is rooted in its profound depth and its ability to strip away visual noise, revealing the unfiltered truth of a single moment. It serves as a timeless bridge to the past, honoring the rich history of the craft while allowing viewers to connect deeply with the raw, organic beauty of the human experience.
Photography
While I shoot with professional digital cameras to capture the highest quality formats, my process remains deeply rooted in the tactile art of traditional photography. I craft my images entirely in camera by pairing prime lenses with physical glass filters and utilising classic black and white lighting techniques to naturally shape the scene. I strictly avoid digital manipulation software like Photoshop, ensuring that every photograph is an honest, untouched reflection of the moment exactly as it unfolded.
My specialisation in black and white photography is not just an aesthetic choice; it is fundamentally how I see the world. Because I think in terms of contrast, texture, and light, I shoot exclusively in monochrome, completely foregoing colour to capture the raw, unfiltered essence of my subjects.
